Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a genetically determined, inflammatory skin disorder in which in its usual form shows red or silver coloured scaling patches preferably on the extensor surface of body.
WHAT HAPPENS ACTUALLY
Skin is capable of producing new cells in normal individuals too but in case of psoriasis this cell production increases 20 – 30 times more than that of a normal individual.
According to modern science cause of psoriasis is unknown but study shows it runs in families mostly.
CAUSE
The actual cause is known in psoriasis positive family history of psoriasis is common in most of the cases.
Some of the triggering factors are seen in these cases-
- Trauma
- Infection
- Sunlight
- Emotion
COMMON SITES
- Extensor aspect of body
- Folds, mostly of abdomen
- Face
- Minor site of injury
- Nails
SYMPTOMS
- Dry, scaly plaques on patches of affected area is seen commonly
- Itching may be present or absent
- Skin thickening is seen
HOW TO DIAGNOSE
All types of psoriasis are diagnosed and confirmed by clinical evaluations mostly.
Rarely biopsy is performed to confirm.

As it is disease which runs through families and other factors which triggers the condition current medical facilities other than homeopathy do not have any healing treatment on such diseases.
